I have been working on this website for a while now, I believe I began in the middle of November when I was home in California. I only recently worked out all of the details of getting it up on the internet and it is a project I have really enjoyed working on. I have been learning about web design for a good portion of the year and this website has finally given me an opportunity to practice what I have learned.
Restaurauntour
August-October 2011
A project I was working on previously from August until September is the Restrauntour app. It is aimed to be an iPhone and potentiall Android app that will combine many of the aspects of social networking and eating at resaurants. There are hundreds of tipping apps on the market that are just glorified calculators, but mine would have the ability to see how everyone else tipped at the specific restaurant you are at, reccomend dishes and even rate the people who serve you, all while aiding you in tipping an amount that is fair for the service you recieve.
I think the app needs a new name because it's current spelling is a bit difficult even though I like the play on words within it (meaning "Your restaurant tour"), other than that I have prepared a detailed map of how it should work. In the event I chose to implement it in the future, I have the basic functionality outlined in detail, ready for me to go back to at any time.
The main reason I am not currently producing this app is that I lost a good deal of motivation to complete it when my iPhone was stolen in October. I am currently attempting to learn enough about Android development to build a prototype for my new phone.
