You may have noticed many major and minor websites today protesting the SOPA ("Stop Online Piracy Act"). At face value it may seem ethical for the federal government to take action to protect copyright infringement and that this is the first step toward doing so. Despite the title, the SOPA (and PIPA, essentially the same act in a different form) acts take much more action to limit freedom of any kind on the internet than they do to protect Copyrights.

Back in Newport Beach after flying to Texas to pick up the new plane with my Dad. I've never flown in a private jet before, it was amazing. I have been flying in small planes my whole life, but none of them compared to a standard airline plane, this one (a Cessna Citation Mustang) blows them away. The acceleration and climb rate of a big airliner aren't anywhere near as exciting, and nothing compares to the 270 degree view from the cockpit.

Finally done with finals! I feel pretty good about my presentation on this semester for my Human Centered Computing class. It mostly involved the things on the portfolio page which I added today. I also added some functionality to the photos page, photos can now be clicked and have their own sub-pages.

This is my first blog post, I thought I would start off the blog by experimenting with embedding a YouTube video. It appears to have worked flawlessly, I'll have to work on the fine details of putting a border around it to be consistent with the photos on the site, as well as some PHP or JavaScript to make the blog posts more dynamic. For now I'm off to bed.
